Bench Seat Cushions

Bench Seat Cushions

One great way of using scatter cushions is as bench seat cushions… put simply additional cushions to help make your bench seat that much more comfortable.

Whilst benches are great, giving you somewhere to sit outside and enjoy the garden – often from decking or patio, but can be pretty much anywhere in the garden – one of the main problems with them is how uncomfortable they are. Which is where the scatter cushions come in.

Bench Seat Cushions

There are traditional bench seat cushions which shouldn’t be ignored. These tend to be thin, foam cushions that run the length of the bench providing a layer between yourself and the bench. To a degree they do provide more comfort as you are no longer sitting directly on hard wood or metal but instead on a foam cushion.

But such bench seat cushions are often thin and not as comfortable as you would hope, certainly if you are going to be sitting on the bench for any length of time. Hence the need for scatter cushions.

Scatter cushions are great in this scenario because they can help brighten up a bench, making it look more attractive. But more importantly they provide real comfort to anyone sitting on it.

If you are finding the bench uncomfortable because of how hard it is then you can use the scatter cushions to sit on, giving you wonderful comfort and allowing you to stay outside sitting for longer. If you are finding the back, or lack of support on your back, uncomfortable then you can use scatter cushions to help provide more comfort there as well.

Whilst it may not be ideal to leave scatter cushions outside, to the mercies of the weather, they are affordable so if you forget them when going in then it is not the end of the world.

Scatter cushions make great additional bench seat cushions, and show another way of just how versatile scatter cushions can be.
